Windergy India 2026: Wind Energy Trade Fair at Chennai Trade Centre

Tamil Nadu has been wind-power country since the first turbines went up in the south of the state, so it is fitting that India’s wind industry meets in Chennai. Windergy India 2026, the eighth edition, runs from Wednesday 7 October to Friday 9 October at Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam, with a trade fair and a conference.

It is organised by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) with PDA Ventures.

The organisers state that entry to the trade fair is free and open only to trade visitors above 18 years of age. Students and families looking for a day out should know that before making the trip.

Registration

Register on the Windergy visitor registration page. It asks for an official email address, a mobile number (WhatsApp is preferred, because the visitor badge is sent there closer to the event), your name, designation, company, address and industry.

Getting to Chennai Trade Centre

Chennai Trade Centre is on Mount–Poonamallee Road in Nandambakkam.

• From the airport: coming from Meenambakkam, the route passes Kathipara junction. Allow extra time on weekday mornings.
• By MTC bus: routes 54, 154 and 597 run along Mount–Poonamallee Road via Ramapuram on MTC’s route list. Ask for the Trade Centre stop. More routes are in the Chennai bus routes guide.
• By metro: no station serves the complex directly. Take an auto or cab for the last stretch.

Friday closes at 4 p.m., two hours earlier than the other days. If you have meetings on the last day, book them for the morning.

Before You Go

• Keep the badge the organisers send on WhatsApp ready on your phone.
• Carry visiting cards for the stalls you want to follow up with.
• Leave a buffer for the evening traffic on Mount–Poonamallee Road towards Guindy and Porur.
